Company Background EMES PAPER PRODUCTS LTD was established by Michael Savvides in 1986 and was registered as a private limited company according to The Companies Law, Chapter 113. The academic background of the company’s founder – holder of degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Dundee University and MBA from Brunel University – was enchased by many years of experience as one of the top executives in one of the biggest organizations in the fields of printing and packaging, corrugated board and cartons production as well as paper making. The above played important role in the transformation of the company from a small family shop producing paper plates to a well known and respectable production unit serving the whole of Cyprus with a variety of paper products. The continuous success of the company is also due to the fact that only suitably qualified personnel are employed and that they receive education and training regularly. During the first ten years the aim of the company was to get established in the market as a serious and quality paper packaging manufacturer and also create the necessary capital basis that would allow for further expansion. In 1996 the company moved into its own new buildings (factory and offices) at Ypsonas Industrial Estate. This relocation of the company into modern offices and spacious factory production areas allowed to set the goal for the next five years:- dominate the market by supplying high quality products and service to customers and at the same time work towards reaching European standards of operation. |
